Step stools and ladders are very useful tools, but if not used properly, they can become Very dangerous and can cause serious injury.  Follow these guidelines and safety instructions When using a step stool or ladder.  

• Check the device carefully before using a ladder or step stool.  
Is it in working order?  
Is it stable?  
Are your feet level?  

Is this the right size equipment for the job?  


• Wear the right shoes.  

Don't wear open-toed shoes or high heels.  

Non-slip shoes are the best.  


• Make sure all feet of a ladder or step stool are level.  

If the device wobbles, do not use it.  


• Maintain three points of contact with equipment (two feet and 

one hand, or one foot and both hands).  


• Do not stand on the first step of a ladder.  Maximum safe working 

height is two rungs from the top.


• Do not stack step stools, chairs or any other furniture or use  

Improper equipment reaches a height.  


• Don't overstretch or stretch beyond the boundaries of your body  

Ladders or feces.  


• Always face a ladder when climbing or descending.  


• Do not hold objects while climbing or descending.
